MARLITER
MARLITER is a European project and Mare Nostrum is one of the partners, along with Greece, Ukraine, Georgia and Bulgaria.

Launched in 2018, the project runs for a period of 30 months and its main objective is to encourage riparian cooperation regarding marine litter monitoring, as well as marine pollution in the Black Sea Basin. The project envisages 3 major activities as: structuring and gathering on marine pollution monitoring, developing an interactive tool and interactive maps, which integrate the data provided by partners.

The maps will be available to the general public and will contain essential information about the registered areas, formal and non-formal methods of implementing measures regarding the reduction of marine litter quantity, possibility of online training for the representatives of local administrations and of the directly interested structures and ability to take measures from this point of view.

The total value of the project is 770 thousand euros.
