ANEMONE PLUS

The marine ecosystem of the Black Sea is facing multiple threats caused by human activities, such as pollution, eutrophication, invasive species, overfishing, and the loss of natural habitats. These issues are exacerbated by climate change and by the uneven research capacities of the riparian countries, putting biodiversity, ecosystem services, and the livelihoods of communities in the region at risk.

ANEMONE PLUS aims to strengthen the resilience and sustainability of the Black Sea ecosystem by fostering transnational collaboration and developing advanced, accessible, and user-friendly tools for monitoring and managing the marine environment. The project also seeks to improve the engagement of decision-makers and stakeholders, promoting informed decision-making in support of a smart and sustainable blue economy.
