An event initiated in 2001

The Black Sea dolphins represent a very important subject for Mare Nostrum. Since 2001, we brought to public attention the problems that they face and the importance of cetacean conservation, through the event Dolphin Day, among others. Thus at the beginning of August, we organize events dedicated to citizens of Constanta, but also tourists. Our purpose is to raise awareness regarding the importance of these marine mammals, but also regarding what to do when we meet an endangered or stranded dolphin.

Being an important subject not only for us, but also for the authorities and other partner institutions, we organize conferences in order to identify the necessary measures for cetacean conservation.
